The Refurbishment

The inlet pipe to the clarifier tanks has now been renewed, and a flow meter installed, raw water will be pumped up through this meter from Juas reservoir to begin the treatment process.

The filter beds now looking clear and clean with new pipework in place. They are awaiting the installation of new nozzles before being refilled with a combination of sand and anthracite prior to recommissioning of the works.

New floats these will float on Juas Reservoir above the low lift pumps which will be suspended 4 metres below. These pumps will feed water from the reservoir to the clarifier tanks where the water treatment process begins.

Some of the sites Analytical equipment fitted in place, this equipment will monitor Chlorine, PH and Turbidity.
