Water Meters

Having a water meter gives you greater control of your water bills, reduce your consumption and you can reduce your bill. 
 
Properties that don’t have a water meter are charged according to the TRP of the property, instead of the water used, so regardless of how much water you save, you won’t be reaping any benefits on your quarterly bill.  

Over 70% of water services on Island are metered, and the benefits aren’t limited to the effect on your bill, having a meter installed can also help detect any hidden leaks on your property, saving both water and potential damage to your home or business. 

Switching to a meter 
 
Switching to a meter is simple and free, just complete and return our meter application form. We will then carry out a check to ensure a meter can be fitted on your water supply. 
 
Meters are typically fitted in the road, just before the point water enters your property, there is never a need to permit access into your home for the meter to be read, and most meters are read via radio signal by our team of dedicated meter techs. 
 
Once you switch to a meter, please note you cannot revert back to unmetered charging.
