Guernsey Water is pleased to confirm the Fort George Outfall is now repaired and operating normally again following the installation of the new section of pipe.

Guernsey Water has closed the Millennium Walk following further storm damage which has brought down trees and left potentially dangerous branches hanging above the route.

The replacement section of pipe needed to repair the Fort George outfall has now been fabricated and transported from Brickfield House to the harbour.

Recent rainfall provided a short-term boost to water collection, but Guernsey Water is warning that storage levels continue to decline and everyone must maintain efforts to reduce consumption.
