Work to overhaul La Piette Pumping Station has been completed. The investment saw the 33-year-old station's pipes replaced, a new chamber constructed, improved maintenance access and new cover hatches installed, and a state-of-the-art control panel replacing the existing one moved to the landward side of the road.

THOUSANDS of cesspit collections a year saved thanks to customer engagement. Last month all cesspit customers received a letter outlining a new charging framework for when collections could not be made owing to the cesspit being inaccessible or the level so low, it didn't need to be emptied - something which currently happens 4500 times a year, roughly the same as an entire week's collection volume.

1.4 BILLION litres. That's how much clean, safe, wholesome water you've gotten through this year so far. Enough to completely get through our largest reservoir, Longue Hougue (1.15 billion litres) and nearly all of St Andrew's too (388 million litres).

Starting tomorrow and through to Monday evening we're repairing two manhole covers along the Route De La Hougue du Pommier. One is pretty much opposite Melodonia and the other is slightly further along.
