Water Saving Week 2024

1.4 BILLION litres.

That's how much clean, safe, wholesome water you've gotten through this year so far.

Enough to completely get through our largest reservoir, Longue Hougue (1.15 billion litres) and nearly all of St Andrew's too (388 million litres).

That would fill Wembley Stadium to the brim 15 times over, or make 100 million cups of tea for two straight weeks. Other comparisons are available and equally unfathomable. But no matter which way you pour it, that is a lot.

And this Water Saving Week, we are here to tell you: Every. Drop. Counts.

Because water isn't just any old resource, it is THE resource, that vital element which life cannot live without.

We started the year at 100% storage capacity and are currently at 96.5%.

So we're taking part in Water Wise's "Water Saving Week" 2024, sharing all their hints and tips each day of the week, or you can get ahead and read them all now - Waterwise Water Saving Week 2024, saving the need to read our posts every day.

Despite the rainfall, just remember that every drop you use counts - ironically our reserves aren't for a rainy day.
